CHICAGO, IL --NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT) has agreed to acquire Traffic.com for a total equity value of $179 million, composed of $47 million in cash and the remainder in company stock.Acquiring Traffic.com will provide NAVTEQ with traffic content and the technology to distribute that information.NAVTEQ intends to enhance the map with additional content to increase its utility and convenience.Traffic.com had fiscal 2005 revenues of $43.3 million, 650 employees and 22 company locations.
